Legend Sets Up New Factory in Pudong
The Legend Computer Co. recently signed a workshop leasing agreement with Shanghai Jinqiao Export Processing Zone Development Co., Ltd. marking the launch of Legend's plan to set up a new factory in Shanghai.
The new factory will be the third manufacturing plant of the Legend following the first two in Beijing and Huiyang of Guangdong Province. Presently, the Legend has chosen an 80,000-square-merter gardening area in Pudong's Jinqiao. The first phase of the 20,000-odd sq. m. workshop is soon to be completed and expected to be put into production next Spring.
Yang Yuanqing, president of the Legend, said that the sales volume of the legend computers this year is much higher than anticipated early this year. The annual 4 million computer output can hardly meet the growing market demand for Legend products, especially in east China.
