Expo on Achievements of Listed Companies Opens in Shanghai

An exposition showing the achievements of China's listed companies over the past decade opened December 3 in Shanghai, drawing over 150 listed companies from across the country.

The three-day event, jointly hosted by the Shanghai Expo Center and Shanghai Collaboration International Expo. Ltd., highlights the positive role China's securities market has played in optimizing resource allocation, raising social funds, and promoting industrial upgrading and high-tech industrial development.

This year is the tenth anniversary of the opening of China's stock market. The number of listed companies in China has increased at an annual rate of 88 percent in the 10 years.

By the end of October this year, a total of 1,053 Chinese companies, including a large number of state-owned and high-tech enterprises, were listed on stock exchanges in Shanghai and Shenzhen.
