Eight Bodies Found in Yunnan Gas Explosion

Eight bodies have been recovered from the site of a gas explosion in a coal mine in Southwest China's Yunnan Province.

The explosion occurred Thursday morning at Laochonggou coal mine, a privately-run unlicensed business lacking in necessary facilities.

Police sources said Saturday nine people are still missing and that those killed include two owners of the mine.

Rescue work is still underway.
