New Zealand Entrepreneurs in Tibet

A well-known meat-processing enterprise of New Zealand, AFFCO, has expressed the intention to cooperate with China's Tibet Autonomous Region on two yak products projects.

Peter D. Wethey and his colleagues of the AFFCO are currently on a visit in Tibet.

Lobsang Toinzhub, Vice-Chairman of the Tibet Autonomous Regional People's Government, met with Wethey Saturday and expressed conviction that future cooperation would bring benefits to both parties.

Tibet, one of China's five major pasturing areas, boasts abundant resources, and the regional governmental has also put forward a series of preferential policies to attract overseas investment, he said.
