Chinese Vice Premier Arrives in Hong Kong

arrived in
Hong Kong
Saturday afternoon for a four-day visit and to officiate at the opening ceremony of the International Telecommunciation Union (ITU) Telecom Asia 2000.
Leading a greeting party at the airport, Hong Kong Chief Executive Tung Chee Hwa extended a warm and hearty welcome to Vice Premier Wu Bangguo.
Wu attended a banquet hosted by Tung in his honor at Government House this evening.
Greeting him at Government House were Administrative Secretary Anson Chan Financial Secretary Donald Tsang and Secretary for Justice Elsie Leung.
