DPRK Reaffirms Stand on Improving DPRK-Japan Relations

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) reaffirmed its consistent stand on improving DPRK-Japan relations on Friday, December 1.

A Korean Society for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries delegation met with a visiting Japanese delegation, exchange views on promoting relations between the two countries.

The DPRK delegation stressed that bilateral relations should be improved on the basis of Japan's sincere apology to the Korean people for all the crimes it committed in the past and on compensation for its wrong-doings.

Bu Japan does not see the DPRK's requirement for apologies and compensation as a necessary condition for building bilateral ties.
