3 Killed, 12 Injured in Kashmir Blasts

At least three people, including a militant, were killed while militants set off a series of blasts injuring 12 people even as security men foiled an attempt by militants to attack a passenger bus in Jammu and Kashmir since Thursday night, police said.

A passenger bus on its way from Dacchan area to Patti Mohalla in Kishtwar was ambushed by militants at Sarabtti village but police guards inside the bus retaliated, killing a militant and injuring another who, however, escaped, according to the Press Trust of India.

They said the slain militant was involved in the killing of five Hindu truckers at Kishtwar on November 24.

An official spokesman said at least 12 people were injured when a grenade, targeted at passing army vehicles, missed the target and explored at Pattan main market in Baramulla district.
