Police Officers from China's Inland, Macao SAR Meet in MacaoSenior police officers from China 's inland areas and the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) agreed December 1 that they will strengthen cooperation and ensure fine public security.Zhu Entao, assistant minister of public security, and Cheong Kuoc Va, secretary for security of the Macao SAR government, attended the meeting. The officers held discussions about the exchange of information, police personnel training and other forms of police cooperation. They agreed that police authorities from both areas had conducted more extensive, closer and more effective cooperation this year on the basis of "one country, two systems." Zhu Entao expressed the belief that Macao police forces have the capability of safeguarding Macao's public security and social stability, and that celebrations marking the first anniversary of Macao SAR's founding will be held rather smoothly. It was the second such meeting since Macao's return to the motherland in December last year. The first was held in Beijing earlier this year, when a decision was made that similar meetings would be held twice a year in Beijing and Macao respectively.
