Lang Ping Awarded Best Woman Volleyball Coach in Italy

November 29, the Italian Volleyball Journalist Association awarded Lang Ping, who's coaching Modena Volleyball Team in Italy, the Best Woman Volleyball Coach in Italy of the year 1999-2000. This is the second time for her to have won the honor.

The awarding ceremony was held in Trento, a city in the north of Italy. In the meanwhile the Association also selected the best Italian volleyball player and the best foreign player of last match season.

In a telephone interview by reporters of the People's Daily, Lang Ping said that the honor given to her by the Italian sports journalists is an affirmative to her work in the last match season. This year's task is more arduous, and she will try her best to lead the Modena onto the way for a better result.

Speaking of the report that the Italian Volleyball Association is planning to make her by invitation the head coach of the Italian National Women's Volleyball Team, Lang Ping said that the Association did informally mention the matter with her agent, but she declined it. This is mainly because of the contract signed with Modena Club, so she wouldn't like to take the invitation into consideration by now.

On October 20, Federation of Italian Women Volleyball League-Match A awarded Lang Ping the Best Coach Prize of 1999-2000. During the last match term, Modena won the championship of Women Volleyball League A, runners-up of Italian Cup and of Italian Super Cup.
