China Completes Production Line of Potassium Sulfate
A production line of potassium sulfate, believed to be the largest in Asia, has been completed and put into opertion recently in north China's
Shanxi
province.
The production line produces 150,000 tons of potassium sulfate a year.
Experts from Chinese Academy of Sciences and Qinghua University confirmed that the production line is a breakthrough in the comprehensive use of mirabilite and increased the efficiency of the production process.
Potassium sulfate is a fertilizer highly effective for crops like fruit and tobacco. China has mainly depended on imports of such products to meet domestic demand.
