Lloyds Beijing Representative Office Inaugurated
Lloyds of London, the world's leading insurance company, has recently inaugurated its Beijing representative office.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Lloyds chairman Max Taylor said the Beijing office will function as a showcase to the Chinese insurance market.
Though Lloyds has yet to acquire an operating license in China, it has been providing reinsurance support to Chinese insurers since the 1970s, he said.
Lloyds has established co-operative ties with the People's Insurance Company of China, the China Reinsurance Company and a number of other Chinese insurance companies, he added.
