Macao SAR Chief Executive Meets Chinese Olympians


Macao SAR Chief Excutive Edmund Ho Hau Wah Meets Chinese Athlete Group
Ho Hau Wah, chief executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) received all members of the Chinese Olympic champions, in his Macao office November 29. He congratulated them in their successes achieved in Sydney Olympics and expressed his warm welcome to them by saying that Macao people could share the happiness and glory with all of them, the gold medal winners.

Ho added, active efforts are being made for the preparation of Eastern Asian Games, which is to be held in Macao by 2005. They will ask the State General Administration of Sports and China National Olympics Committee for advice and draw valuable experience from them.

Ho Hau Wah also expressed his support for Beijing's bid for the 2008 Olympics and hoped that the athletes would score a new success in 2004 Olympics.

Yuan Weimin, leader of the Chinese sports delegation also addressed in reply at the meeting.
