Children Write IOC President in Support of Beijing's Bid
Children from the Children's Minor Soccer League A, China's first national level sports organization for children, wrote a letter to the president of the International Olympic Committee, June Antonio Samaranch, in support of
Beijing
's bid.
They said to host the Olympics in Beijing is the common aspiration of the 130 million children in China. They wish to see their Olympic athletes participate in the Beijing Olympics Games and compete with other athletes from around the world.
The children's soccer leaguer was founded in July of this year and over 60,000 children from 90 cities across China participate.
