Japan Provides Economic Assistance to Shaanxi

The government of Japan recently provided 20 million yen to Danfeng County, northwest China's Shaanxi Province, to help local people shake off poverty.

The funds will be used to build primary and secondary schools, rural clinics, roads, drinking water facilities and two other projects in three townships in the county. The projects are expected to be completed next June.

This was the second batch of free economic assistance to Danfeng County granted by the Japanese government, which offered 10 million yen to the county last year.
