Liberia Reshuffles CabinetLiberian President Charles Taylor has reshuffled his cabinet by appointing two new ministers over the weekend, said a report reaching Lagos from Monrovia on Monday, November 27.The report quoted a statement issued by Liberia's Information Ministry on Sunday as saying that former Commerce and Industry Minister Amelia Ward took over as Planning and Economic Affairs Minister, while Ward's old job was taken by Cora Peabody, former head of the Liberia Business Association. Lamin Kawah, former Planning and Economic Affairs Minister, left his post to be Liberia's permanent representative to the United Nations, said the report. Taylor's government established in 1997 at the end of a seven-year civil war. |
