Ningxia Finds Great Oil Gas Potential
According to the appraisal by academicians and experts of the CAS (Chinese Academy of Sciences), Ningxia has a great potential in oil gas reserve, presenting a bright perspective for the oil gas exploitation.
Located in an area with concentrated energy resources of Shaanxi, Gansu and Ningxia, the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region is one of the ten most large areas in China with concentrated energy resources. The proven oil reserve has come up to 37 million tons with the estimated petroleum deposit amounting to 320 million tons, and the natural gas reserve registered at 190 million cubic meters.
The exploration and exploitation of natural gas in Ningxia will exert great influence on the energy and industry structures in the region. The Party committee and government of the region has taken it as a key project for developing new resources and adjusting industry structure in its trans-centennial plan of the region.
