Hainan Airlines Introduces New Turboprop

Hainan Airlines, based in Haikou, capital of south China's Hainan province, recently introduced a new Dash Eight Q-400, one of the world's most advanced Turboprops, to its fleet.

Counting the 70-seat regional-flight plane and four other Dornier 328 aircraft, the airline now has a fleet of 43 airplanes, China Youth Daily reported November 27.

The introduction of the planes marks the preliminary formation of Hainan airlines' regional service network, said local experts.

Through only eight years' rapid development, Hainan airlines has become a large-scale aviation group with total assets of six billion yuan, covering civil aviation services, airports, tourism and hotels.

The airlines has established three domestic bases in Haikou, Ningbo and Sanya respectively, and four operational stations in Beijing, Guangzhou, Shijiazhuang and Changsha, as well as opening 100 air routes connecting 70 domestic large medium-sized cities.
