Five Palestinians Killed in Overnight Israeli Ambush

Five Palestinians were killed near the northern West Bank town of Kalkilya in an Israeli ambush overnight, reported the Palestine News Agency on Monday.

Israeli security forces declined to hand over the five bodies to Palestinian authorities, the report added.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military said Monday that the five Palestinians were killed in an ambush by Israeli security forces after they opened fire on an Israeli vehicle.

The five dead were all residents of Kalkilya, a Palestinian self-rule town.

Over 280 people, mostly Palestinians, have been killed and thousands more injured in more than two months of violent clashes between Palestinians and Israeli security forces.
