George W. Bush Declared Winner of Florida's Presidential Race

Florida's Secretary of State Katherine Harris announced George W. Bush the winner of the state's presidential election on the night of November 26.

Harris, who is a Republican, and another two members of the State Canvassing Commission, certified that Bush got 2,912,790 votes while Gore took 2,912,253 votes.
