Flowers Beautify Bajin's Birthday

So many colorful flowers havebeen presented to celebrate Bajin's birthday November 25 that they have overwhelmed his ward and the corridor, making the literary master's 97th birthday more romantic and beautiful.
Though he has been hospitalized recently, Bajin is very happy at the occasion, showing a rosy complexion.
From the morning on, a number of guests from various sectors visited Bajin.
The names of many public institutions such as National Committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Chinese Writers' Association, Macao Daily, East China Hospital, can be found among the flower baskets sent to him.
Readers in different parts of China have phoned to express their concern over the health of such a famous writer they have long worshipped.
Bajin has also been visited by several local senior officials including Gong Xueping, vice secretary of Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Zhou Muyao, vice mayor of Shanghai Municipal Government, and Duan Yicui, director of the Publicity Department of CPC Shanghai Committee.
His long novels --- "Family", Spring", and "Autumn" made him one of the most distinguished writers in modern China. Bajin is chairman of the Chinese Writers' Association.
Ba Jin (Pa Chin) [real name Li Yaotang] 1904-
Famous Chinese Writer. Born in Chengdu and moved to Nanjing in 1923. He lived and studied in Paris from 1927 to 1928, and also wrote his first novel there. He wrote numerous short stories, children's books and articles, as well as more than ten novels, the most famous of which is probably Family (1933).
