China's Mainland to Become Global Computer Purchase CenterThe information industry of Taiwan is moving its manufacturing bases to the mainland on a large scale, and has meanwhile pushed international computer manufacturing giants to move their purchase decision-making center to China.For instance, Compaq has indicated that it will set up an international purchasing center in China next year. According to the rough estimation of the Taiwan MIC ( Market Intelligence Center ), the global value of information industry products made by China's mainland will for the first time exceed that of Taiwan with its annul growth rate hitting the world record while Taiwan will quit to take the fourth place.As estimated by the MIC, the global value of information industry expected to realize in across the Taiwan Straits may reach 25.535 billion US dollars, an annual increase of 38.4 percent, setting a record high in the world.
