Chinese Players Swept a Clean Record in Asian Sailboard Tournament
Chinese sportsmen claimed a clean record of five gold in 2000 China Sailboard Open, i.e. Asian Saiboard Tournament concluded in Fangcheng Port, Guangxi Province.

Yin Jian from Sichuan, Sun Maochun (Shandong), and Li Mingdong (Guangdong) snatched repectively four, three and three gold in three events.

As reported, 21 foreign players joined in the contest, but none of them grabbed gold medals. The top three men's heavy weight mistral went to repectively Sun Maochun (Shandong), Mo Zehai (Hainan), and Lin Youxiong (Guangdong); and Li Mingdong (Guangdong), Gao Chuanwei (Fujian), and Chen Zhe (Hainan) respectively carried off the top three light weight Mistral medals.

Top three women's mistral went to repectively Yin Jian (Sichuan), Wang Li (Shandong) and Pang Haiping (Guangxi).

Young men's mistral gold medallist went to Zhangjian (Sichuan), and the following runner-up and the third place were respectively grabbed by Chen Jingran (Hong Kong ) and Yao Xinzhi (Guangdong).

Top three young women's mistral medal winner went respectively to Lai Mingshuang (Sichuan), Shen Kena (Zhejiang) and Liu Weiming (Guangdong).

Sichuan, Guangdong, Hainan, and Shandong are still strong rivals in sailboard contest. Particularly, Sichuan, an inner land province was rewarded 6 of 13 gold medals for their always keeping practicing in coastal areas.
