Premier Arrives in Singapore for ASEAN Summit
Premier Zhu Rongji arrived in Singapore Thursday to attend summit meetings between ASEAN and China, Japan and South Korea, and between ASEAN and China.

The Chinese premier was met at the Changi International Airport by Singapore Minister for Home Affairs Wong Kan Seng, Singapore Ambassador to China Chin Siat Yoon and other senior government officials.

Zhu will join ASEAN leaders for the ASEAN Plus Three (China, Japan and Korea) summit on Friday and also attend the ASEAN and China Summit on Saturday morning.

ASEAN and East Asian leaders are expected to discuss on topics such as the future of East Asia and measures to be taken to strengthen East Asian cooperation.
