Int'l Forum on Traditional Chinese Medicine Opens
Doctors and pharmacologists from China and abroad including
Australia
and
Japan
, are meeting in central China's Wuhan city to discuss ways to promote traditional Chinese medicine.
According to the participants, some of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies have set up subsidiaries for research and development of natural drugs and an increasing number of countries have enacted laws on the use of herbal medicine.
This provides a better environment for traditional Chinese medicine to step into the international market.
Participants believe it is imperative for China to further improve the quality of its traditional medicines to world standards in order to gain a better market share.
