Ningbo Joins Rank of World's Big PortsFor the first time Ningbo, a port city in east China's Zhejiang Province, has so far surpassed the 100-million-ton mark in terms of cargo handling capacity.According to the Ningbo Port Administration, Ningbo has become the third 100-million-ton-class port in China, after Shanghai and Guangzhou. It has also joined the rank of the world's top 15 ports. With the advantage in deep water, the handing capacity of the Ningbo Port has ranked second and third among the nation's ports. |
