The 2000 China (Hubei) Science and Technology Exposition opened Wednesday in Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei Province.
On display are more than 3,000 high-tech achievements by nearly 700 institutions and enterprises.
A high-tech products auction as well as a series of forums on information technology, information security, traditional Chinese
medicine and venture capital will be held during the exposition, which is co-sponsored by the Hubei provincial government, China's Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, and the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
Japanese and German business people will also promote their economic and technological cooperation projects at the exposition.
Organizers said that approximately 360 Chinese and overseas experts and scholars are attending the event.
