Zhejiang to Build Twenty Five-thousand-ton Ships for Singapore
A contract to produce two 25-thousand-ton multi-function container ships was recently signed by China's
Zhejiang
Shipyard and its client --
Singapore
an PCL Company.
This is the first time that Zhejiang, a coastal province in East China, will build ships beyond the tonnage of ten thousand.
The shipyard has introduced new technology in preparation for the project and it plans to start building the two ships in early December.
The two ships are scheduled to be launched by the end of next year.
