Security Forces Can Stand Against Israeli Aggression: OfficialPalestinian National Authority (PNA) Secretary General Ahmad Abdel-Rahman said on November 21 that he has greenlit Palestinian security forces to defend themselves and Palestinians in the self-rule territories. He said this at a press briefing in the West Bank Tuesday. " Israel is waging a war in a bid to eradicate the Palestinian National Authority," He stressed, adding "the Israeli aggression gives the PNA power to defend our land and people by all means." The Palestinian policemen took up weapons within the PNA- controlled territories on November 20 against Israeli atrocities, he said, "we exercise the right of sovereignty and the right to use weapons to defend our land and people." Abdel-Rahman accused Israel of killing the peace process, terming "Israeli aggression" against the Palestinians as a " designed plot." Israeli helicopters and warships November 20 evening shelled several important Palestinian targets in Gaza Strip in retaliation for a bomb attack on an Israeli school bus which left two killed and nine more injured. Israel's punitive massive strikes killed two Palestinians and injured 120 others as two buildings and a number of houses were destroyed in the attack. Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat had ordered Palestinians not to fire on Israeli targets from PNA-controlled territories or populated areas. Israel insisted that they should give up shooting from all areas.
