Moscow Circus Gives Performances in Macao
The Great Moscow Circus made its debut in Macao Tuesday night inside a provisional tent put up at the seaside.
The performances will last till December 9, with one show given every night from Tuesday to Friday, and three shows a day on Saturdays and Sundays.
The tent, 42 meters in diameter, can accommodate 2,000 seats. An independent power system provides the tent electric supply, by which a 20-story building might be lit.
More than 20,000 tickets have been sold in Macao. Local residents are enthusiastic for there have not been any large-scale circus shows in Macao for decades.
The Moscow Circus performed in Hong Kong four times in the past 10 years and one million tickets were sold.
