China's Biggest Chemical Fertilizer Producer Inaugurated

Sichuan Chemical Industry Share Holding Group Company, the biggest chemical fertilizer producer in China, Tuesday announced its establishment in Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province.

The company, with a total assets of seven billion yuan, was jointly formed by three companies in the chemical industrial sector, including Chuanhua Group Company, which has been listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

The company produces 82 percent of Sichuan Province's total output of urea, and 7.8 percent of China's total. The new company will be China's biggest producer of lipidic chemicals and melamine.

Wang Jinxiang, vice-governor of Sichuan, called the establishment of the new company an important step for the province in reorganizing state enterprises.
