First National Beach Volleyball Tournament Closed
The First National Beach Volleyball Tournament closed October 20 after three-day contests held in Maoming, Guangdong Province.
Held at the highest national level, the Tournament had been held as a qualifier preparing for the 9th National Sports Meet coming year. After 62 rounds of fight, Shanghai Team No 1 and Team No. 2 took the gold and silver in men's event respectively; Bayi and Shanxi Team No. 1 won the first and second places in women's event respectively. Altogether 52 teams, 30 men's and 22 women's, have won the qualification to take part in the 9th National Sports Meet coming year.
