New Xiali Cars to Be Available Soon
The first group of 300 Xiali 2000 cars will roll off a production line in this leading manufacturing center in north China on December 14.
In the early phase of production, Chinese-produced parts will account for 40 percent of whole vehicles to be built according to a Sino-Japanese cooperation plan, with the rest to be imported from Japan.
The Toyota Group, the Japanese partner, has set up manufacturing companies in Tianjin in the areas such as engines, transmission shafts, and redirectors, as well as 21 workshops, a representative of the Toyota Tianjin Office said.
To date, about 300 Xiali servicing centers and 77 Toyota Repair workshops across China will offer services for Xiali 2000.
