Conference Calls for Improving Population Quality

A national meeting opened in Beijing Monday, focusing on birth control and population quality improvement.

Some 500 scholars and experts from all over China and a number of countries and regions including the U.S. and Canada attended the three-day meeting, which called for boosting the quality of population to meet the goal of socialist modernization and sustainable growth.
