China Grants Kentucky Best Franchise Brand

Kentucky has won the best franchise brand in a latest appraisal by the China Association of Franchise Business.

Other brands earning the title are Hualian Supermarket Co. Ltd, Quanjude Group, a renowned Peking Roast Duck caterer in Beijing, Malan Hand-pulled Noodles Chain Store Co. Ltd. and Shanghai Shanshan Clothes Co. Ltd.

Kentucky, a brand well-known for its fried chicken, won the title for its strict training process to insure high-quality food products and services.

The company entered the Chinese market in 1987. It has opened more than 400 chain stores in some 100 cities in the country, hiring about 25,000 Chinese workers.

Franchising, born out of the chain store business, emerged in China several years ago. With lower costs, less risk and higher profits than traditional marketing patterns, it will be favored by more Chinese commercial enterprises in the future, according to some experts.
