HK Elected as Best Business City in Asia-Pacific Region

"Fortune" recently elected Hong Kong as the best city for business in the Asia-Pacific region. Sidney of Australia and Singapore ranked second and third respectively.

New York, London and Buenos Aires were elected as the best cities for business in the United States, and European and Latin American regions respectively.

Although Hong Kong failed to achieve the right to host the 2006 Asian Games, in the eyes of the interviewed, however, it remains the most ideal place for business in the region.

Taiwan dropped out of the top five ranks, the popularization rate of the local internet, however, was higher than Tokyo, the fifth on the list.

The investigation was based on a comprehensive evaluation of labor force, commercial environment, the quality of life for attracting talents and business cost. The questionnaires were issued to 1700 executors in 160 cities.
