Beijing Court to Auction Properties via Net

A district court in Beijing will auction luxurious cars, furniture and home appliances via the Internet Saturday.

The auction will take place on the Website www.greatwall123.com. All the items to be auctioned were the properties of debtors which have been sealed up or distrained by the courthouse. This will be the first time that goods of this kind are auctioned via the Internet in China.

Over 20 cars, including Cadillac, Honda, Santana 2000 and Jetta, archaized furniture and china ware will be auctioned.

The items have been on display in the courtyard of the People's Court of Fengtai District since Thursday.
