Cause of Explosion in Hefei Found Out
The cause of a catastrophic explosion on October 28 in Hefei, capital of Anhui Province in east China, has recently been found out.
According to experts, the mixture of gas under that building, mainly consisting of liquefied petroleum gas and methane, permeated inside the apartments through cracks in the ground, and exploded when it became exposed to an open flame.
The investigators has found the place where the liquefied petroleum gas was leaking.
The explosion killed 11 and injured several others. This city is to take certain precautions to prevent this kind of accident from reoccurring.
