Chen Fanhong, the first Chinese Miss Internet set off Thursday (November 16) for Lausanne, Switzerland to convey to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Internet users' support for Beijing's bid to host the 2008 Olympic Games.

Chen was accompanied by nine representatives of Chinese Internet users, and they carried with them a compact disc signed by one million Internet users.

Chen said that she will express to IOC President Samaranch on behalf of millions of Chinese Internet users, the hope that the IOC will choose Beijing, capital of the most populous nation in the world, to host the Games.

More than one million people from at home and abroad signed their names on the disc via the Internet earlier in the year, and the disk will be kept in the International Olympic Museum.
