Dalian-NY State Hold Online Medical Conference
A long-distance medical visual conference between Chinese and American medical institutions was held Thursday in Dalian, a port city of east China's Liaoning Province.
This was China's first attempt to adopt a digital communication method in an international medical conference.
Over 20 companies, which are involved in medical treatment, medical facilities and pharmaceutical production in the New York State, held online talks with hospitals in Dalian on technical cooperation and equipment purchase.
The long-distance conference was jointly organized by Empire State Development New York State of the United States, Dalian sanitation bureau and other institutions from the two sides.
With the help of computer science and simultaneous interpretation and other technical services, network visual conference enables people at different places to communicate face to face at a much lower cost than on-site conferences.
