IT-based Environment System Put into Operation in Macao
A geographical and environmental system based on electronic information technology was officially put into operation Wednesday in Macao.
While accessing the web site of http://www.dscc.gov.mo/ambiente.htm, Internet surfers can obtain the latest data about Macao's maps, noise conditions, the quality of air and edible water, and the treatment of sewage and solid wastes.
In this way, the system enables the research and assessment on Macao's overall environment situation.
The system was jointly worked out by the Cartography and Registry Services and the Environment Commission of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) government, together with the assistance of several other governmental departments.
