Wuhan Holds British Education Exhibition

An education exhibition, designed to introduce more Chinese to institutions of higher learning in Britain, was hosted Tuesday in Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei Province.

Representatives from some 28 British colleges and universities gathered in the city for the event, which was co-sponsored by the Hubei Education Association for International Exchange and the Cultural and Education Section of the British Embassy. Several thousand of Chinese students visited the exhibition.

During the exhibition, experts with the British universities explained their policies and school information, and small-scale symposiums on studying in Britain were held.

A consul with the British consulate-general in Guangzhou said that this show is part of a large-scale program to popularize British education in major Chinese cities.

We hope the show will provide more information to those who wish to study in Britain, he said.
