Peruvian Guitarist to Perform in Beijing
Peru's leading guitarist Raul Garcia Zarate will make his debut in China on November 23 at Jinfan Concert Hall in Beijing.
Organizers with the China Performing Arts Agency (CPAA) said that the guitarist is scheduled to perform well-known Peruvian music pieces.
Born in the high Andes Mountains of Peru, the guitarist is recognized as being equal to John Williams, Antonio Lauro, Paco Pena and Barbara Polasek in artistic skill.
As a successor of ancient troubadours, Zarate has performed in a number of countries, including Austria, Belgium, France, Germany and the United States.
The CPAA said that Zarate will also tour Dalian, a seaport city in northeast China's Liaoning Province.
