First World Championship of Dragon and Lion Dances Held in Guangdong

A decorated boat featuring a head effigy of a legend dragon passes at the opening ceremony of the First World Championship of Dragon and Lion Dances held in Sanshui, Guangdong province on November 11.

Teams from some 12 countries and regions such as Malasia, Italy and Hong Kong took part in this competition.

Dragon and lion dances are those tradional Chinese dances that are performed with dragon or lion effigies.
