Gala Held to Celebrate Sino-Italian Ties

An Italian opera gala was held in Beijing Monday to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Italy.

The gathering was hosted by the Italian Embassy in China, the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) and Central Opera Theater.

Chen Haosu, president of the CPAFFC, and former Italian Prime Minister Giulio Andreotti attended the gala.
