Planes With Passengers and Hijacking Suspect Land in Moscow

Two planes, one carrying the passengers released from a hijacked Dagestani Airlines plane and the other with the detained hijacking suspect aboard, have landed in Moscow's Vnukovo Airport.

The Dagestani Airlines plane, hijacked late Saturday while en route to Moscow and forced to fly to Israel, landed at Moscow's Vnukovo Airport minutes earlier with its crew on board, airline officials told Interfax news agency.

In a 12-hour drama, the TU-154 aircraft with 58 passengers and crew aboard had been seized by hijackers and forced to change its course for Israel, where it landed early yesterday.

When seized, the airplane was en route from Russia's republic of Dagestan to Moscow.
