New Mobile Satellite Telecom System Debuts in Chongqing
Sources from Chongqing say that a new mobile satellite telecom system, China's first and new to the world, which first realizes uninterrupted communications between moving objects, has been developed in Chongqing.
Highly commendable is the new system for integrated transmission of tone, data, fax and image; broadband multimedia data can be transmitted and received instantaneously at any points throughout the world. To the credit of Chongqing Bashan Instrument Factory of China Spaceflight Science and Technology Group, the system can be used to many a varied purposes as of TV transmission/receiving, vehicle/ship navigation, public security telecom, fire fighting, disaster prevention/relief, oil production, geological survey and other field work.
