The fair, the largest of its kind ever held in China, has attracted more than 2,000 companies from at home and abroad, including those from the United States, Germany, France, Italy and Japan.

On the first day of trading, contracts worth more than 1.1 billion yuan were signed, according to organizers.

The fair, which will last three days, is sponsored by the China State Forestry Administration and six other organizations.
