China International Air Show Closes


Third China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition Closed
The Third China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition closed November 12 in the port city of Zhuhai in south China's Guangdong Province.

The 7-day event drew participation of manufacturers of aerospace and aviation products from 27 countries and regions with 89 aircraft of various types put on display.

According to the organizer, the show materialized contracts worth 6.4 billion yuan and 70 aircraft changed hands.

The airshow was organized by the Chinese government in accordance with international practices. It featured displays of aircraft and aerospace equipment, trade negotiations and flight demonstrations.

The show has been held once every two years since 1996 with the next event to take place November 4-10, 2002 in Zhuhai.
