Tourism Fair Ends in Eastern China City

A tourism promotion drive ended Sunday in Hangzhou, a major tourist city in east China's Zhejiang Province, with four million yuan in transaction volume.

Representatives of about 150 tourism administration departments, travel agencies, hotels, and scenic spots in 52 cities across China took part in the three-day event.

In the last three days, business exchanges, exhibitions and seminars have been staged.

Zhejiang has 46 scenic spots at the state and provincial levels and many historical sites. In the first six months of the year, 502,000 overseas and 28 million domestic tourists visited Zhejiang, up 13.9 percent and 15.5 percent, respectively, from a year earlier.
