By now£¬the radiation sector in China's market has reached an annual production capacity of more than 1 billion yuan £¨about 120 million U.S. dollars£©£¬ a very small percentage compared with the figures in other developed countries such as the United States and Japan. "China should also endeavor to promote the commercialization of research and the application of technology £¬ rather than make it a direct government-funded sector£¬" said Din Dayal Sood £¬ director of the Physical and Chemical Sciences Department of IAEA£¬an international organization to promote the peaceful use of atomic energy globally.
